#Pdanet adapter not found android#
(In case you're wondering, the reason I'm trying to get this to work is because I expect to lose my PDANet+ WiFi hotspot ability if/when Android 4.4 is released for the S4, but I still need to have a WiFi hotspot even if I have to use my laptop to do it - thus I really want to get this WiFi Share option working on my laptop, just in case.)įYI: My laptop is running Windows 8.1, and has a Killer Wireless-N 1202 dual-band WiFi card installed. I have managed to do something like this (but different), in companion with this (now discontinued) device: Set up Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) on the UTP/RJ-45 port of the laptop. How do I get this WiFi Share option to work? If so, try googling 'internet connection sharing windows 7' or ' (.) windows 10', depending on your situation. On the laptop, if I right-click the PDANet icon in the tray in the lower-right corner, there is an option called "WiFi Share.", which I assume will allow me to use the WiFi card in my laptop as if it were a WiFi hotspot, sharing my USB-connected phone with any WiFi devices near my laptop.īut when I click on that WiFi Share option, it does absolutely nothing. Whenever I click on the WiFi share button on the PDAnet tray after Ive already connected via usb cable tether a message pops up wich says 'PDAnet adapter not found' how do I fix this You must log in or register to reply here. Firewall and antivirus may at times prevent us from connecting to mobile hotspot. Fix 4 Turning off Windows firewall and Antivirus. We need to enable the Network adapter back by right clicking on the Wireless Network Adapter. ( shows 22.29 Mbps down and 2.58 Mbps up.) I'm using my PDANet+ USB-tethered connection to write this post right now. Make WiFi adapter is disabled by right clicking on the Wireless Network Adapter in use by the system.

I have not contacted Sprint as I feel most likely will not get a lot of, honest, feedback. that is auto filled into my Ipv4 properties on my ethernet adapter. 4.15 installed on both my laptop and my Galaxy S4. No sir, that is what fills in automatically when I first startICS to be shared from Pdanet (or usb tether without pdanet) to my ethernet adapter.
